My Favorite Swimsuits of 2017

One of my biggest struggles in life is finding swimsuits that fit me. I, like most women in America, don't fit in the typical "a-cup, skimpy, triangle" suit. Yes, that's right, I have boobs! A lot of people get really weirded out when I talk so openly about having a larger chest. Newsflash! Every woman has boobs! Mine just happen to be a tad bigger. I was blessed with 2 things that make it difficult to find a suit: I have a large cup size and a small band size, making it virtually impossible to find a suit that correctly fits me. I have spent many hours trying on countless suits and crying in dressing rooms. But one day the sky opened up and these suits came down from the heavens and I finally was able to go to the pool and the beach. Here are some brands of swimsuits that I have found to fit a large range of women.

Hoaka Swimwear

I stumbled upon Hoaka Swimwear on Instagram when one of their photos came up on my explore page. I was immediately obsessed with their neoprene suits. What I like about Hoaka is they have options in their tops to add a "plus" to it. This means that the cup size is a little bit bigger while still remaining small on the band. I wore this suit on my recent trip to Mexico and received so many compliments.

Karma Bikinis

I also found Karma Bikinis on Instagram and quickly became a fan of their products. Eventually I reached out to them to be a brand ambassador. Karma Bikinis is really unique in the fact that a portion of all their proceeds goes to ocean conservation methods. Also their main mission is to produce ethically made swimsuits that are not massed produced. The Gummy Top is one of my favorites because it is cut a little longer, almost like a crop-top, so I feel more comfortable in it.

Aurora Swimwear

I was approached by Aurora Swimwear earlier this year to become an ambassador. Not only do they sell super cute crochet swimsuits, but each suit is hand made! I was skeptical at the thought of a crochet swimsuit, but after wearing it I'm hooked! It is super comfortable and easy to wear. Also, all of the suits from Aurora and very affordable and unique.

ASOS

One of my OG swimsuit brand favorites is ASOS. ASOS has consistently produced swimsuits in a range of sizes that are cute and affordable. They also have a "DD+" section which makes it super easy to browse their site.

Lastly, I have never been one to feel comfortable posing in a bikini, but recently I have been trying let that all go. Life is too short to be worried about if your stomach looks perfect or if your butt is toned in every photo. One of my favorite pieces of advice is, "How to have a bikini body: put a bikini on your body." Everyone is made differently and you should never compare yourself to the girl standing next to you. 1 year ago, I would have not be able to even make this blog post, just because of my lack of body positivity. It may not be easy, but trust me, feeling confident in your own skin will change your life.
